Ron Paul's a Gentleman.

Another reason why I love him.

Teehee,

PWNED by Ron Paul

Damn it, I love this man!

Please. This is the reason why I didn't like Senator McCain. He's just probably as dumb as Bush. "well obviously, we'd like to see more sunshine."- Oh God, how can I be unemployed and this fucking retard is a fucking senator? Excuse me while I unfold this map to find out what universe I'm in.

"Q: If you were president, what would be your strategy to end the war in Iraq? Ron Paul: Just come home."

Ron Paul 2012

You can't imagine how excited I was when I saw your post about Ron Paul, Turtle! Because I love him! He is amazing, he has a big heart, he understands the people, he knows his shit, and he wants America to be the greatest America that it was before. I want to say that he's a genius but he just knows the REAL deal. He's no joke, and I hope - I HOOOOOOPE - he wins the presidential elections in November!

Here is my belief: In 2008, Obama was just a hype. I mean, he is a great speaker and he is an intelligent man but... He lacks leadership and he doesn't know how politics work (in my opinion). Before he was president, he was a senator for TWO YEARS and then before he became senator, he was a TEACHER/PROFESSOR. He has the intelligence to back him up and he knows how to be powerful but he doesn't have a solid foundation on how to work things. And honestly, ever since he became president, everything went bad FAST. We were losing homes, we were losing jobs and professions, people were becoming homeless, real estate went up 5% in the last year, and taxes went up 10% in the last year alone. Imagine how much things went up ever since he became president! In past elections, the "white community" were the highest in terms of voters, then it was followed by the Hispanics then the Asians and then the "African American community". When Obama was running, he got a lot of celebrity fame real FAST and then, the "black community" was the number one in terms of the highest voters. So in a way, I took that as a "publicity stunt"... So I didn't register to vote because I didn't believe in any of them. Well, I was about to vote for Sarah Palin because she seemed alright but she seemed a little iffy... I don't know if it was her weird Alaskan accent... Lol.

The only guy who made me wish that I'm an American citizen just so I could vote for him. NYAAARGH.

Ron Paul has been my obsession lately. This man is extraordinary. Just mind-blowingly extraordinary. I smell genuine integrity from this man. And that doesn't happen often.

Let me be honest, I don't give a damn about elections in general because my observation is that those presidential candidates are all the friggin' same. But when I came across a certain Ron Paul slamming Rick Santorum's statement about the (imaginary) threat in Iran, I was immediately hooked. (Btw guys, Rick Santorum in general is some political dickhead who supported the war in Iraq, doesn't believe in global warming because on the basis that carbon dioxide is good for plants, and thinks pushing for gay marriage is similar to paving the way for polygamous marriage.)

He's one of the presidential candidates for this year's election and I can't believe I'm only aware of this man's existence just RECENTLY. I don't know why but this man just stands out from other politicians who try to fit their speeches and opinions to conform to their corporate sponsors. After practically surfing YouTube for 6 hours straight- SIX HOURS- going through his interviews, his talks, his debates, his opinions, and comparing him with other current candidates for presidents (WHICH I NEVER, EVER DO UNTIL NOW),  I am convinced that if ever I were an American citizen, the first thing I would do is blaze through voter registration just so I can give him my vote.

And this kind of thing rarely happens to me. I mean, I've given up hope for seeing any competent leaders in the Philippines, and in the US. I usually don't give a fig about politicians here in the Philippines (except for Miriam Santiago, a brilliant woman in her field of law and probably one of the few who have brains and integrity in the gritty world of Philippine politics) so I was quite surprised, at the same time pleased that there is a presidential candidate in the US who is being purposefully marginalized by mainstream media (CNN and Fox, sneaky bastards, you think we don't know what you're doing) because the man formidably stands by the Constitution and his principles.

He stands out because amidst politicians who are too busy with their own self-interests, biased (not to mention stupid) "journalists", and government-controlled media. His arguments are intellectually stimulating, informative, and his honesty and integrity actually helps substantiate his arguments.

Ron Paul: "It's time we quit this! It's trillions of dollars we're spending on these wars!"

Another reason why Ron Paul is legit: he talks about issues close to the heart of the people, issues that are actually relevant. He doesn't sugar coat and he's one of the few who know The Constitution by heart and admirably stands by it. He's not afraid to attack issues that other politicians and leaders don't want to talk about it. He's by far the most sensible, rational, clear-thinker out of all the candidates and fearlessly challenges the status quo. Ron Paul knows his shit.

Ron Paul may not be popular in mainstream media but he's surprisingly getting a lot of support from the internet and many of his followers (including me I suppose, LOL) are actually doing their part to help his campaign. What makes Ron Paul's popularity unique is that he's actually getting the attention of the youth, that even those as young as 13 are participating in spreading awareness of this man.

You may skip the last few minutes of this video coz the sound effects are annoying, at least you'll have an idea of how Ron Paul keeps his cool and composure when faced with stupid, obvious questions or exposes the truth in his interviews.

Officially obsessed,

Awkward Turtle

P.S. I believe presidential elections start around November of this year. Le sigh. So envy.
