Super Cat Lady.

OMG, I JUST DIED.

It's too addicting and funny... I'm singing along to it now. That's how much I've watched it already.

I just want to all of them,

Meet Charlie. Emily found a stray cat while being at the other house that they plan to move into and she brought it home and her boyfriend said we could have her. So we did!

But not even a day later, he says we can't. :(

She fell asleep on my lap <3

She is the cutest little kitten I've ever had!

She's sleeping so well on my lap and look at Astro with his cone. :(

A Cat Is What A Cat Is.

Oh, Turtle. I feel your pain!

I had a cat once. She was evil but I liked her. I got her when she was just a weaned kitten... I got her when I was in the second grade from a first grade teacher. She wasn't my teacher but her class use to join in with our class (when I was in first grade). She had a sign up and I decided - with mother's permission - to take one home. Her name was Snow. I'm not sure what breed she was, all I know was that she was pure white and had blue eyes, she was perfect! Or should I say, purrfect. (laughs) But she was my first cat, so I wasn't sure how cats were like... She wasn't too playful but she was adventurous. She didn't seem to like me much but she adored mother... Sigh. She even scratched up my legs while I was using the bathroom. That horrible —

She liked anything that resembled string. Cable wires, chargers, curtains, mother's sewing threads, spaghetti... She went craaaaaaaaaazy with strings! She even tore out the strings from all my shorts and I wouldn't know, so when I put on my shorts... They fall! Darn my Asian mother and her fondness of buying things of bigger sizes so that I can "grow into them". Sad.

She was horrible, stubborn, bitchy and snarly but she looked cute and beautiful destroying things.

And THAT... Is evil. PURE EVIL!

Reliving some memories,
Otter

Rule # 1 when living with a cat...

... is to make sure that anything resembling thin wires is totally out of their reach. Hitler chewed on my cellphone's earbuds that I absentmindedly left on the dining table. This morning, I was dismayed to find out that my right earbud was totally detached.

Which then reminded me of the time I was in high school. I was charging my phone and the wire of my charger was thin-like my phone earbuds- and the cat kept playing with it, swiping and prodding and everything. I didn't mind coz I thought he'd eventually get bored with it. The next thing I knew, my phone stopped charging. I looked down at the charger to see that the wire was completely cut clean.

What baffles me more about cats' preference for wires is the fact they can cut it so CLEANLY.

Hitler

This is Hitler. a.k.a. Charlie Bo Jangles. He loves playing tag and nibbling fingers.
He can also look into your soul if he feels like it.

Comics and Cats and Pirates

Last May 20, my good friend Wapwap and I attended a comic artist friend's gallery exhibit (opening night) at SM Megamall's Art Asia.

The exhibit features works of a few famous names in the local comic world and a handful of up-and-coming indie comic artists.
Wapwap and I went to the gallery's opening night in support of our friend Omeng, plus the free buffet. One can only come across free buffets in this lifetime.

There is one particular painting that I really, really like.

"Gun" by Toti Cerda. I do like the theme of heroism in this painting, a young boy (probably from the slums), armed with a makeshift cape and wearing grubby Converse sneakers, as he stands on some garbage heap overlooking the metropolis.
Just a little FYI, Toti Cerda was a great comic illustrator in the 90's. Until now, even in his old age.

While going around and savoring different themes and techniques of the paintings in the gallery, I noticed this cute, artist-hippie sort of guy taking his sweet time looking at each painting with great intensity. Almost each painting or sculpture, he looks at it with incredible interest and takes a picture of it with his Nokia phone.
Okay, VERY FEW men can pull off the long-hair-with-beret-plus-glasses-artist look. This was an incredibly rare specie, so I just HAD to take his picture.

I plan to name the kitten I found Maggie. After the incredible femme fatale Maggie Q.
Anyway, she'll be 3-weeks old tomorrow. She is thriving, feisty, and likes to sleep on my stomach after a bottle-feed session. She wakes me up earlier than I'd expect, but what can I do? I'm practically her momma.

One tiny and mean, purring machine.

Yesterday, I watched the latest sequel of Pirates of The Carribean. I won't spoil the movie. I do want to show this picture of a little girl who enthusiastically had her picture taken with one of the props outside the theater. Apparently,a pirate look involves a wacky face. OMG ADORBS.

Tomorrow is already the first day of school and my workshops aren't even finished yet!!! Oh what to do, what to do.

Feeling the pressure,
Turtle
