OHMYGAWD, TURTLE! IF YOU MOVE TO THE STATES, YOU HAVE TO TELL ME ASAP! BECAUSE THEN I'LL GET THE NEXT FLIGHT TO COME SEE YOU! If I get stationed in New York, you can come and stay with me and we can watch musicals together! And there is a lot of good places that I know in New York that we can do to! AND MAYBE WHEN I HAVE THE TIME, WE CAN DO A ROADTRIP! THERE'S A LOT OF COOL STUFF HERE IN THE UNITED STATES! sa;ljfdjfkdlsjksjdkfj;sdkfds, I feel like a kid in a theme park! BUT YOU MUST TELL ME. And I can visit you during the holidays (if that's okay with your parents) lol. skdjflksdjfjsdlskd, SO COOL! I'm so stoked even though nothing happened yet! LOL!
---------------------------------------------------------------
Anyways, I just got back from PT. FREAKIN' SUCKS TODAY. I woke up at 7am and I found out that it's raining like crazy and the wind is just an abomination. So I texted Ssgt. Fears and asked if we still had PT. And she said, "Yes." Like, not even a 'yes' with a smiley. It's a straight up, in your face, with a period, 'yes'. So I go to the office and I find out that it's her replacement. Some girl who got back from her training and Tech School and is now doing her RAP (recruiters assistant program) duty. Sigh.
However, I woke up at 7:20am and I was out of the house, in the car and on my way at 7:30am. I didn't eat anything and I just drank two gulps of water. And then we did our push ups, sit ups and warm ups outside while it was drizzling (it slowed down by the time I reached the office) and then we had to run a mile and a half, but this time, we were timed! And since I wasn't feeling well because I had this stomach ache since yesterday, I was pretty sure I wasn't going to do well but I pressed on! I ran and my time was 18 minutes for a mile and a half. WHICH IS BALLS. I usually can make it in time for the run~ I think I'm starting to become a softy. Sigh, sigh. I need to work on that. I am happy that I can meet the core-strength requirements. It's my running time because I don't want to be recycled in BMT! The last thing you want is to be recycled (pushed back) and stay in basic even longer...
After we were done, we left. And I saw "Chase"...
OH, OH! WHEN WE WERE RUNNING, he was basically on his way back when I wasn't even done with the whole thing, and he said to me, "Are you okay? (smile) You doing alright? (smile)" STOP SHOWING ME YOUR GORGEOUS TEETH, GAWD DANG IT! But I was like, "YEAH, (giggle) I'M FINE! (smile)" (hnnnnng~~~) I bet I looked all awkward. -_- lol.
So when we were done, we were all went to our cars and left. When I was in the car, I felt dizzy and nauseous. I felt like I was going to throw up in the car but I didn't. (thank goodness) but I got home, went to the bathroom, felt better and I checked online that my dizziness and nausea after running/PT is usually because I didn't eat a pre-snack work out and enough water so my body was lacking oxygen. POO. So I ate a snack after and then I'm going to have a PB&J sandwich after I make this blog.
And at 3pm, I have a movie "date" with Elder Preator and Elder Kirk. Mmmm~ Apparently, we're going to watch a Mormon film. Um, I think it's about Joseph Smith. And I have a surprise for them! I'm going to bring some frosted animal cookies and chocolate milk for them. Teehee. Is my affection for the Elders a little too obvious? LOL.
Today can't get any better than a day filled with good-looking men in PT uniforms and suits.
I love today,
Otter

If The Book of Mormon Was Made Into A Movie...
Honestly, to those who haven't even read the Book of Mormon, if they were to see this trailer on their TV screens or as an ad while streaming videos talking about how this is the new upcoming movie... I bet you that you will be in line when it comes out.
There's no doubt about how epic this would be to watch! I actually wish someone would make a movie about the Book of Mormon as epic as this!
And for those who did and is reading the Book of Mormon would agree that the stories in the Book of Mormon are pretty epic and this is as close as it'll get when you imagine the epic-ness that comes with the book! And you know you can't help but smile about it! :)
Personally, Mel Gibson as Nephi... Meh, it doesn't cut it for me but Eric Bana as Mormon?! PERFECT! And Brad Pitt as Captain Moroni (Mormon's son)?! UGH, yes! (Even though I'm not a really a fan of Brad Pitt)
If you're interested in the movie clips that were shown in the video:
___________? (King Benjamin)
Braveheart (Nephi; Mel Gibson)
First Night (Helaman; Richard Gere)
Gladiators (Gidgidoni/Russell Crowe)
Troy (Mormon; Eric Bana. Captain Moroni; Brad Pitt)
Last of the Mohicans (Alma the Younger; Daniel Day Lewis)
Mormon-y,

Once Upon A December
December has been good to me lately, mainly because:
*Yesterday, I got to commute home by LRT and MRT with Hottie. Everything was just friggin' funny from Taft all the way to our stops. He was already tired from school. Quite sabaw. Thing is, he's hilarious even when he's dead tired. He's like a restless little kid who says the most random thing. We talked about the shadowplay, Fuente Ovejuna and all its memorable scenes, parents on Facebook, the youtube vid dubbed as one of the best wedding proposals- his cousin was the guy who proposed, etc.
I didn't expect we'd commute home together. It just so happened he wasn't so busy with theater since finals week was approaching and I already planned to go home after I borrow his journal.
While waiting at the platform...
Him: I wanna go home.
Me: But we are going home!
Him: (stands near edge of platform, preparing to jump) the train!!
OMGLOL.
We high-fived when we manage to get seats at the MRT. We were so talkative and just kept laughing and laughing until he had to get off at his stop which was just two stations away from mine.
Him: Stop talking, you're hurting my braiiin.
Me: (silent)
Him: So kamusta ka naman?
Me: Bitch. XD
*My mom visited here in Manila and brought our yaya with her. So for nearly a week, I went home to a warm meal and I didn't have to clean up after. More downtime, more time to practice my songs, and more time to chill and bond with my mom. Accompanied her to Human Nature last weekend where she went crazy with all the organic products that she was gonna sell to her friends and contacts back in the province. She also bought organic products from Milea, as well organic honey.
I love the organic honey. I consume spoonfuls of it each day.
*I am obsessed with grounded cinammon. I put it in my champorado, tea, milk, coffee... it's just HEAVENLY.
*Was suppose to go to the Yule ball, but due to unforeseen circumstances and random opportunities that cannot be turned down, I decided to prioritize my music first.
*Got my EAF and I didn't have to stand in line very long for it. Then went to SDA for my weekly hangout with my friend Chi. We watched a romantic comedy through her laptop. "Keeping The Faith" starring Ben Stiller. Loads of laughs!
December is my darling.

Movies with Brother Otter
While we were in Baguio, we were able to watch the "Fast Five" movie with Vin Diesel and Paul Walker. My two main men~ And when we arrived back to Manila, we were able to watch "The Pirates of the Caribbean". We're renting out a unit in Excelsior for about four~five days and we decided to watch some movies on his laptop and looking through all the videos that he had... I chose "Tangled", why? Because I haven't seen it. Why does he have it on his laptop? Because Zach watches it. Haha, he called Disney movies "Disney Blu-Ray" or "Disney Blu-Ray Combo Pack" LOL. So, yes. I finally watched "Tangled". I teared when the king was losing hope that he would find their daughter ever again. Sigh. But it was a pretty good movie...

Comics and Cats and Pirates
Last May 20, my good friend Wapwap and I attended a comic artist friend's gallery exhibit (opening night) at SM Megamall's Art Asia.
The exhibit features works of a few famous names in the local comic world and a handful of up-and-coming indie comic artists.
Wapwap and I went to the gallery's opening night in support of our friend Omeng, plus the free buffet. One can only come across free buffets in this lifetime.
There is one particular painting that I really, really like.
"Gun" by Toti Cerda. I do like the theme of heroism in this painting, a young boy (probably from the slums), armed with a makeshift cape and wearing grubby Converse sneakers, as he stands on some garbage heap overlooking the metropolis.
Just a little FYI, Toti Cerda was a great comic illustrator in the 90's. Until now, even in his old age.
Toti Cerda tending to his flock of fans. :D
While going around and savoring different themes and techniques of the paintings in the gallery, I noticed this cute, artist-hippie sort of guy taking his sweet time looking at each painting with great intensity. Almost each painting or sculpture, he looks at it with incredible interest and takes a picture of it with his Nokia phone.
Okay, VERY FEW men can pull off the long-hair-with-beret-plus-glasses-artist look. This was an incredibly rare specie, so I just HAD to take his picture.
*******************************************
I plan to name the kitten I found Maggie. After the incredible femme fatale Maggie Q.
Anyway, she'll be 3-weeks old tomorrow. She is thriving, feisty, and likes to sleep on my stomach after a bottle-feed session. She wakes me up earlier than I'd expect, but what can I do? I'm practically her momma.
One tiny and mean, purring machine.
*************************************************************************
Yesterday, I watched the latest sequel of Pirates of The Carribean. I won't spoil the movie. I do want to show this picture of a little girl who enthusiastically had her picture taken with one of the props outside the theater. Apparently,a pirate look involves a wacky face. OMG ADORBS.
Tomorrow is already the first day of school and my workshops aren't even finished yet!!! Oh what to do, what to do.
Feeling the pressure,
Turtle
