Leandra Graves - Move

This is Leandra Graves, she is a friend of my church friend Peter (member of the band "Don't Forget Your Shoes") and her boyfriend, Taylor Barisoff (we call him Beri), who was two spots before Leandra and he's into the rock-blue-jazz-country-ish genre. But, Leandra performed and she sounds really beautiful in person. I bought her EP CD for $5.

Turtle, I don't know if you like this kind of music or if you liked it but when I watched her perform at the Flour Fusion cafe, I thought of you. :)

Eric Benet - Pretty Baby

UGH! I just heard some new beats of Eric Benet~ I think he's coming out with a new album soon! Once I heard his voice after years of not listening to any of his music when he use to be my favorite, I started to get this urge to listen to his songs. This song, "Pretty Baby", is one of my favorite songs~ I use to listen to him before I go to sleep, I'd pop a CD in my CD player, put the volume real low, relax and listen to it while I fall asleep in a good mood. Most of his songs really put you in a mood for sum'sum if you know what I'm talking about though. Haha. He's so handsome. Sigh. Still gorgeous, yummy and sensual as ever.

Musical Turtle

  Haven't posted much like I planned to but for a good reason... I was recording my first EVAR original song! After I recorded cover songs at our family friend's recording studio, he decided that my sister and I are good enough to have our own album of ORIGINALS. Like, omg. Next thing I knew, he contacted one of his composer friends who sent us a few samples.

So this looong weekend (no classes from Saturday til Tuesday here in the Philippines), we were at the recording studio, revising lyrics and the melody, and finally- recording! I'm still deciding if I should post it online but my material is still pretty raw.

Right now, I just want to drown somewhere because I have to compose lyrics for my second original song. Hnnnngh. Say what you want, but songwriting's a bitch, especially when inspiration just seems so elusive these days.
