Senior Citizens and Post-Hunger Games

I've been in Manila since Saturday but had to spend the weekend with my relatives at my dad's side because of a 60th birthday party. Also, our internet connection just got reconnected couple of minutes ago.
Imagine me and my little bro's excitement when we saw the green lights all lit up on the modem after calling PLDT. We raced toward the computer. XD

The birthday party wasn't as bad as I thought. The food was terrible but I got to see my favorite cousins and relatives from my dad's side. And I was expected to sing. So I ended up singing Adele's "Someone Like You". I think everyone appreciated that performance.
One of the highlights of the party (and Charlie knows about this) were the senior citizen jokes. Which I found hilarious for some reason even though they were bad.

"Enjoy your 20 percent!"
"Life begins at SEXTY."
"In every man's success is a woman's behind. True story."

Last night, my big bro was watching Hunger Games in his laptop. I sat with him on the scene when Katniss kisses Peetah, and then it shifts to Gale watching the whole thing.

Me: LOL poor Gale LOL
Bro: Dapat kasi nag-volunteer din siya. Bobo!

So my brother's statement kinda rocked my world. Why didn't Gale volunteer? I mean, he knows he's more badass than Peetah. Trololol
