Dodgers vs. Mets

So yesterday, it was "Mormon Night" at the Dodgers Stadium (baseball team) because Elder Urchdorf was throwing the first pitch and most of the people that came to the game were Mormon. LOL. And we took up all the good seats (aka the all-you-can-eat section) and I went with everyone from my church and I arrived with Glenn. We got seven hotdogs, three nacho plates and four Cokes. HAHA. The game wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be but it was definitely better than the Mariners vs. Angels game that I saw when I was still living in Seattle. I mean, seriously? Dodgers - 0 Mets - 9? LAME. But it was still good because we got to eat all we can eat. Also, I taught Glenn the ways of Korea. HAHAHAHA. And a bunch of K-Pop that almost made his head explode. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Now, later today, I'm going to go see my old friend John (who's my friend from Japan and was my best friend in kindergarten) and his family. They are coming from Las Vegas so they have to pass by here before they head to San Diego (where they live) so we're going to have dinner or something like that and it's going to be awesome. :)

Good day,
Otter

Moved Out and Allowed to Raid.

I finally moved out of my apartment. While my roommate-best friend was packing her stuff, I also packed all my stuff because while she's gone for three months back home in Hawaii, I'm def not staying that long in the apartment with her boyfriend. We did that back in December (for one month though) and we fought and it was def awks. Plus, the lease ends in August and he would have to be moving all her furniture into the house they plan to move into (which I'm not surprised that she even chose to still live with him and gave him another chance after all the fighting they've been doing before she left) and when Joe, Glenn and I were driving her to the airport, she told me, "Oh, I saw that you packed your stuff... You don't have to leave, you know. You can stay at the apartment for as long as you like." and I said, "Oh it's okay, I wanted Cam to have the apartment to himself." and she said, "It's fine, it can be like last time. You don't have to go." and in my head, I'm like, "Last time? Are you for real?" but anyways, right after I came back from dropping her off, I went home got all my stuff and left. The only thing I'm sad about was leaving Astro and Quazi because I know they're not going to drink much water again, or eat that much food because my best friend and Cam want to "save money"... And since I've been taking care of them for the last seven months and sleeping with them on my bed for the last seven months is going to be hard because I've grown to love them like they were my own dogs. :(

But, I moved into my Bishop and his wife's house which is only a mile and a half up the street. LOL. Yeah, I moved far. HAHA. But, it's better because we have a yard with a garden of veggies and a bonfire pit, and we have humming bird feeders and bird feeders (and as I type this, the greedy humming bird is on the feeder and we have a chair near it so you can watch them) and I have my own room with two single beds and it's a lot better. However, it's still awk because I'm adjusting. Haha. Um, when I came here, Mrs. Davis and Bishop said to "make myself feel at home" or "feel free to eat or open whatever can you want" and in my head, and some of you might know this is you know me well enough that... The WORST phrase you can ever tell me is, "Feel free to eat what you want or open whatever you want. Feel free to open the fridge and grab yourself something to eat." those are the worst things you can ever say to me BECAUSE I will do it. Once you've already given me the approval that I can do so, I will not hesitate to do it. If you allow me to raid your kitchen, I will gladly do so. If you allow me to open what I want to eat, I will happily obey.

SO when Mrs. Davis and Bishop told me that, I was trying my hardest to refuse because I don't want to seem like a hog but... They did. And I'm trying not to. LOL. But, it's difficult for me. HAHA!

Anyways, I'm going to go get ready, call my recruiter, eat something and hopefully watch Brave. AND, then come home in time to help Bishop with our Softball game FHE night. We're going to be grilling some hot dogs and we'll make s'mores at the fire pit near the church. WOOHOO! Things are looking up!

PS: I'm still looking for a temporary job. -_-

A New Calling.

Today for the first time, I went to a family church. O_O I went with the Davis' because a missionary they knew came back from his mission so they came to say hello. And when I was there, it was so hard to concentrate at church because of the children crying, talking and whatnot. Haha.

But after sacrament, we all headed over to our church for the last hour and then Brother Jensen came up to me and said, "Otter, after church, you have to come and see me." and usually, with that kind of question, I freak out! Buuuuuuut, when we managed to meet up together, Brother Jensen just told me that I have a new calling in the church! Woot! I'm on the Break the Fast committee! See, even the church knows that I love food. BWAHAHA. But this time, now that I'm on the committee, I get to bug people to BRING food to the church. So that there's food for me. I mean. Everyone.

Now I'm waiting for my friend Coco so we can go to a Fireside.

Woohoo,
Otter

PS: I'm hungry... Again.

My Birthday Outfit.

I had an amazing birthday dinner. 10 out of 30 people showed up but they were the 10 people I felt the closest to within my church and I'm happy that I got to celebrate it with them. We went to the Cheesecake Factory and had a blast. Even though Joe ordered a birthday cake, the people that worked there didn't pay attention so when he wanted it to come, they said "What cake?" and then all Hell broke lose from there but he waited until we were outside of the place. I got a cheesecake from them because they made a mistake but I wanted everyone to enjoy it as well. While I got my cake, everyone sang to me. I looked at each and every one of them and I felt super emotional... Watching them sing, smile and laugh made me realize how much I love them, care about them and enjoy their company. They are the reason why I come to church and Institute.

(I look all grimy... Ew.)
Thank you Joe, Glenn, Scott, Mark, Milo, Allen (<3), Jed, Andi and Emily T. for coming to my little get-together birthday party and spending this night with me. I love you guys very, very much.

Happy,
Otter

Allen Hugs.

I think Allen is getting comfortable with me...

Joe, Glenn and I met up with Allen and our friend Celest at the Riverside Plaza in front of Johnny's Burgers. And then Celest left, then Allen was about to leave. He slapped-bro-handshake with Joe and Glenn and then he hugged me. OMGOMGOMG, HE HUGGED ME AGAIN.

I literally felt like I was going to poop out my heart. <3

Where To Begin...

041312: I decided to hang out with my neighbor since he was needing to find an apartment to move into. He was thinking of moving out to Los Angeles because the apartments are bigger and better but a little more expensive and he was looking into Koreatown. (MMMM, Korean BBQ) But it was raining so much! It was crazy and the weather was like, 40~45 degrees! And we didn't have an umbrella so we were talking through K-Town in the rain and when we saw the apartments, it was either that the lobby man was a jerk and we couldn't see the apartments or at least have a floor plan or the apartments were just ugly. So we made a trip out there for nothing, really... And we were stuck in traffic for hours. It took us like four hours to get home. It was soooo bad it took us an hour and a half to just drive six miles. HORRIBLE. And it was the "phantom traffic" which is the kind of traffic that's the worst for no reason; no accidents, no blood, no horror... Just traffic because people drive slow. But, since it was raining, I told my neighbor that it was "pizza weather" so we arrived home, cleaned up his place a bit, changed Salome's kitty litter, took Ivy out, bought some pizza and wings and watched "Training Day". Good day, even though my butt was sore.

041412: Today was a eventful day. The morning was a little rough, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed but it was good when I went to the Museum of Science with my churchmate Joe. (he's the Samoan guy that baptized me) and we also stopped by Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles which is really good~ It's good old fashion soul food for your soul. Homemade waffles, some good fried chicken, collard greens, homemade chili on fries and more chicken bits, and some good cold coke. I'm sorry but that's some good sh*t. It's so good, you better come in with your pants unbutton because they are no joke! But the museum of science was amazing, I learned a lot about the universe and the earth and even ourselves. (even though I already knew, it's good to refresh) and the next time we go, we're going to go to the Museum of Natural History. I CAN'T WAIT! And now, I'm home, uploaded all the stuff on Facebook and I'm food as heck right now with a bunch of left-overs. I'm excited to go to church... I miss everyone. I feel like I haven't seen them in forever! But I came home with tension and it's weird. My best friend is crying, her boyfriend is stoned and she's in the bathroom, crying and I really need to go number two. I might have to ask my neighbor if I can use his bathroom. LOL. I hope not.

Sigh, now I have to get changed and situated before bed. I got church tomorrow! :)

Bible Study-Ish With Indigo.

(Discusses things in the Book of Mormon and in the Bible with Indigo)
Otter: In 2 Nephi, "Stem of Jesse", why is "Jesse" referred to Christ?
Indigo: Remember the house of Israel? What was his name before it changed?
Otter: Isaac?
Indigo: Right. And what were his sons name?
Otter: I forgot...
Indigo: Jesse is the father of David. David being King David, of the house of Judah.
Otter: Oooh. Sigh. Confusing.
Indigo: My advise is just skim over 2 Nephi, because to understand Isaiah, you need to read the Old Testament.
Otter: Sigh, that means I have to read the first half of the Bible.
Indigo: Yes.
Otter: So I'll just go back to it later then?
Indigo: Yes. Even I have a hard time with it.
Otter: I think the Bible was made to read over and over again.
Indigo: Well, it was meant for Jews.
Otter: (laughs out loud until stomach hurts) I don't know why that made me laugh so hard!
Indigo: Me neither. Kinda hurts.
Otter: Yes, I'm hurting right now!
Indigo: Stop it
Otter: I can't!
Indigo: Stop!
Otter: I can't!
Indigo: You must!
Otter: Noooooooooooooooo~!!!
Indigo: Yes!
Otter: Okay. I'm done. :)
Indigo: Gah
Otter: Bah
Indigo: No
Otter: Snow
Indigo: Where
Otter: Somewhere...
Indigo: Over the rainbow?
Otter: If you can get pass the armed unicorns...
Indigo: And the angry mushrooms.
Otter: You can't forget those! They're hardcore. :(
Indigo: But delicious
Otter: I've never had one before.
Indigo: They're very good in hotpot.
Otter: Mmmm, sounds yummy~
Indigo: Oh yes
Otter: Can Jews eat them too?
Indigo: No. None for them.

LOL! How did we get here?!,
Otter

Break The Fast was LOL.

So remember the geek that liked my Star Wars t-shirt? His name is Skyler.

He's a book person. He knows every trivia question about Harry Potter and he knows so many movies that no one knows of. He's very attentive and loves to talk about... Boy stuff. He was also an extra in the first "Bring It On" movie! Lol. I like him. He's hilarious! And this is why:

(Eating together for break the fast and talking about movies, trivia and other stuff and everyone ends up having their own conversations with each other)
Skyler: So... Otter... Where do you live?!
Me: (stunned) What? (LOL)
Skyler: Yes, I want to know where you live.
Me: I live on Blaine St.
Skyler: Oh okay. Good. I know that place. I know where you live now. I know where you sleep... In a bed, right?!
Me: Yes. Well, now that you know where I live. I will be waiting for you.
Both: (LOL-ing)

Justin made some brownies that we weird and for some reason, when people ate it, it tasted funny. Some people said it taste like it was stale, some said it tasted like death, and Skyler... Said it tastes like soap! But after Skyler ate it, he went to go get more but instead of coming back with just one... He came back with the whole metal tin! And started sharing it with people but I think it made it looney because he became Skyler(squared). LOL!

I love church,

YSA, FHE and Friends.

Today was Break the Fast and it's amazing that a lot of people came and brought food! Also, today I met with Cassandra! She's from Switzerland! Both of her parents are Swiss but her mother was born here in Riverside. And her whole family is apart of the LDS church and she came with the Sister Davis. She got to experience the YSA (Young Single Adult) Ward! (Which they don't have in Switzerland) and I have to tell you - I'm not a lesbian - BUT SHE IS FREAKING BEAUTIFUL! And she is 6'0" tall! (when you subtract her two-inch heels) and she is just a lovely person~ She stuck by me the whole day and I introduced her to so many other people within our ward and I felt really good. She really loved it, she met with a lot of people. After church, we (Sister Davis and I) went to drop her home and I got to meet her parents! Her mother is BEAUTIFUL! Ohmygoodness! Her mother has flawless sign, beautiful eyes and her father was really handsome. She speaks German/Dutch to her mother but then again, they all speak four languages. Haha. Her father is a 70's in the Mormon community and that's a big deal! Haha.

Tomorrow, we have FHE (Family Home Evening) and we're all going to go to San Bernadino and we will be joining in the BBQ with the North Park YSA Ward. :)

I love meeting new friends and I love getting to know the ones that I already am friends with.

Good day,
Otter

PS: Blue Fox texted me at 2pm today saying that he did pass out last night but for some reason, my phone died. It was weird. Sigh. I miss him.
PSS: I also got a wedding invitation to Immanuel and Heather's wedding! I CAN'T WAIT! :D

Pre-Baptism Stuff.

So church was good. The only problem was that my baptism was announced more than five times during the whole time! LOL. And I had to keep announcing myself and stuff but it was all good since I knew almost everyone in the church anyways. It's just... Funny.

ANYWHO, Mother Davis brought in some chili! She totally fed the whole church (well, those who can actually make it to the kitchen in time) and not surprisingly, I was the second to arrive to get myself a cup (or three) and of course, the first one was Chubbers. HAHA!

While I was stuffing my face with chill and crackers, my mom called me but I didn't feel it vibrate in my jacket pocket so I didn't know but she did leave me a voicemail and it went like this:

"Hi Otter. It's your mother. I'm just calling you as my very last chance to try and convince you not to convert to Mormonism. I know that it's 4pm there so church is over... I swear, you cannot be a Mormon! You cannot leave me! If you go through with this... I don't know... I will convert with you! YOU CANNOT LEAVE ME!... Okay. Call me back after you get this."

PT and Flu?

Soooo... PT... KILLER.

I arrived at the office at 7:30am, ON THE DOT. And where was my recruiter? LATE. Oh yeah, who's awesome? Me. Two others showed up and then my recruiter showed up and the reason why she was late was because she discovered a new running route for us. (Damn you, Ssgt!)

She had all of us gathered and counted us. Then she drew out the map of our route, after we all confirmed that we understood, she let us go out of the office, stretch and started running. I was so nervous, I would have soiled my pants.

But, I was a trooper. HUAA!

1.8~2.0 miles. 90 push ups. Roll over. 90 "scissor kicks". Roller over. Plank for a minute. Roll over. 90 bicycle crunches. Roll over. Stretch it out.

That kicked me tooshie but I feel great! Even though I stopped at like, 100 yards away from the office. BUT, I'm not as big of a pansy as I thought I was. Woot!

Then I came home, and realized that I still have to walk the dogs. HAHA. And then guess what I found out? Not only is Emily sick, but so is her boyfriend. Great. It's not an ulcer, she has the stomach flu or food poisoning. Thankfully, I'm super healthy. So I rarely get sick. I haven't had a cold in three years and I've never had the stomach flu before nor have I ever been food poisoned. Haha.

Last night, I bought chicken noodle soup for Emily, with some saltine crackers and 7-Up for her stomach. And that should be like, four days worth. If she's not back to her old self by then, she needs to go to the hospital or back to the clinic. Thus why I always tell them to eat veggies NOT JUST BABY SPINACH, I'm talking about hardcore veggies and protein and some good carbs. Not that lame Mexican diet with flour, corn and freaking potatoes and hot sauce. That stuff is weak.

So now, I have to take care of two four babies. (that includes the dogs)

Yay for me (not),
Otter

PS: See how great of a friend I am?

A Big Sunday Night.

So, Elder Ortiz invited me to go to their church however, he and the other Elders that I've met were attending some event at the Singles Ward so he contacted Sister Davis (Lorena Davis) and she came to pick me up at my house and brought me to church, which then I met Elder Jeffery who took me around places in the church and helped me feel comfortable during the whole thing even though it was overwhelming.

But after church, I had to head to the class/lecture/discussions and I honestly enjoyed that and then we had to gather in the church hall to listen to the Patriarch talk about something for an hour. At the end, I realized that I had been at the church for four hours!

Otter Has A Date With...

Just when I wanted to run today, it rains. Then it stops, then I decided to go out and buy pizza, buffalo wings, some alcohol and just chill at home freezing my ass off... And then what happens? It rains again. So, I suck it up like a boss and walk in the rain with no umbrella and no coat. Um, BADASS? Yeah.

I wore my Navy PT uniform. (Thanks, dad) and walked in the rain and it was like, 48°F! Just breathing made fog come out of my mouth. But I sucked it up and did it...

I walked, bought pizza and buffalo wings at Papa Johns, some soda, some liquor and a few sticks of Slim Jims. Mmmm, perfect. And then I walk back home...

And then, I get a text from Licorice - Orange's high school friend - and he textes me about wanting to have dinner with me on Saturday night... Well, more like 4~4:30pm...

I asked what we'd be doing and where we're going so I can dress accordingly but of course, it's a secret because he's planning it. This is one of the reasons why I hate surprises.

I don't know what to wear!

So yes, heartbroken little Otter is going on a date with a nice boy named Licorice. But in my heart, there's nothing more than I want than to go on a date with Blue Fox... Since Blue Fox has never brought a girl out on a date before, I want to be the first. And hello, I'm still-kinda the girlfriend... Sigh.

I know that it's not fair for Licorice but... I love Blue Fox. Always and forever. I'm doing this just as a small dinner date, to get to know him, make a new friend and see what happens but I'm sure that I'll be thinking about Blue Fox the whole night there.

Update! Nevermind, I now know where it is... It's at a casual-elegant restaurant in Long Beach called "Tantalum"... Sounds like tantrum. (HAHA)

((( http://www.tantalumrestaurant.com/ )))

Now... I'm freaking out even more. I NEED TO FIND SOMETHING TO WEAR!

Sigh. What am I going to wear?!?! I haven't been to an casual-elegant restaurant in a long time! Hmmmm...

This is making me feel even more sad... Because there are guys out there who are wanting me, waiting for me, want to bring me on dates, want to be my boyfriend and there are two guys that plan on wanting to make me their wifey... HUGE SIGH. Even though I have all these guys around me, I only look at Blue Fox; I only think of him, see him, love him. Sometimes I wish he knew how lucky he was... I know that he said that he was happy that I was with him and would be by his side and I know deep down he knows how lucky he is but he jokes that I should be the happier one because he's "perfect"... Well, sorry to break it to you Blue Fox but I'm perfect too. I just wish you knew how even more perfect we would be together IF ONLY we got through this rough patch...

Licorice is bringing me to a nice casual-elegant restaurant. See what kind of competition that Blue Fox has? But yet, somehow he wins me over with Asian mandarin salads for lunch and makes me some weird sausage-egg-jelly/jam sandwich with soggy-ish bread.

I just wish he knew...

STILL WONDERING WHAT TO WEAR,
Otter

Cootie No Patootie.

LOLOLOLOLOL! Oh Turtle, indeed you are the new plus one of an upcoming wedding but I think Pucca asked you - not only because he likes you and that is getting more obvious by the blog - but maybe, juuuust maybe he asked you so he can see you in formal attire.

Even though some think you're crazy for accepting... I think it's genius because yes, it is in Tagaytay but most importantly, free food. "Free + food = FREE FOOD" is probably the best math equation known to man. So I salute you. OHMYGOD, SO LUCKY! FREE WEDDING FOOD!

But no matter what you do... Don't kiss him.

Cootie shots these days are expensive.

Love,
Otter
