060112: Glenn and I went to the beach with the San Bernadino ward to the Balboa Pier beach. Well, okay. Not the whole ward but some of them. A lot of people were going to join but they ditched. Even though we had a small group, it was fun because of all the laughs we had. The whether was a little disappointing though because it was cold, gloomy and windy. It was a horrible day to go to the beach but where we live (Riverside) it was hawt as Hell over there! Sigh. But after, we decided to go to one of the girls' boyfriend's house to grill, make s'mores and swim in his pool. But we didn't stay long because it was already 11pm and I had stuff to do in the morning.
060212: So today was the busiest time EVER for me. And I'm not sure why I didn't think about how I scheduled this day. I had a DEP CC but I also remembered that my church had a triathlon called "Tin Man" not only was I volunteering, but I also signed up to participate. PAR-TI-CI-PATE. WTF. WAS I CRAZY?! So, I woke up at 5:30am but I got out of bed at 6am, got ready and went to catch the 6:20am bus. Then I got to RCC (Riverside City College) by 7am, helped out with the swimmers (since that's the first stage of the triathlon) and then I left early because I had to catch the bus to go to my DEP CC.
DEP CC was crazy! We had a (paper) test where we had to write out the Air Force's "Airman's Creed" and for the ones you get wrong or leave blank, you have to do that many push ups. ALONG with that, everyone had to do 60 extra push-ups because there were four people who were late last PT. SO, I had to do 139 push ups! -_- damn it.
After that, we all went to the park and we played Ultimate Frisbee. Our recruiter told us that if we're going to be in the Air Force, we had to learn and love Ultimate Frisbee because it's the "Air Force's game". -_- But it got soooooooooo intense for us that during the game, someone was trying to do an interception and he smacked the frisbee midair and it broke in half. LOL! So since we had no frisbee, our recruiter told us that we had to run laps. Four laps. That might not seem like a lot but it was a large lap. -_- But I didn't stop for those four laps, I did some pansy jogs but I didn't stop and I had all the cute guys/Special Operation's buffs come and support me and run with me. They all motivated me and whatnot. <3
OH, and that guy "Chase" or whatever his name I thought it was... It was Andrew. <3
And it was weird because as we were running, we kept seeing this old Asian lady and every time we were doing our laps, we would see this Asian lady. It's like, "Wtf?!" Because one minute you think you saw her, the next minute, she's there again and it makes you wonder... Are YOU running slow? Or is she walking faster than US?! LOL
So we did like a 2 mile run plus Ultimate Frisbee and then I had to catch the bus again to go back to RCC so I can participate in the triathlon. (4-mile bike, 3-mile run)
I knew about the Tin Man triathlon a month ago and I still booked it. OMG. SRS. I THINK I WAS DRINKIN' SOME CRAY-CRAY JUICE BECAUSE I SHOULD HAVE DIED TODAY WITH ALL THE ENERGY AND RUNNING I DID TODAY.
AFTER all that shizz, I took the bus home, showered because I thought I smelled like funk and then I did laundry and groceries.
I'M FUCKING BEAT.
Now, I have church tomorrow and it's Break the Fast. I'm bringing drinks! Woot! And I get to wear my new blouse and I can't wait to show you guys that one! :D
Tired but loves you,
Otter
