Yesterday, my mother told me that her friend Rudi has a classmate that lives in Washington and knows of a job opening in a Asian supermarket and it's main focus is Japanese things (other than typical Asian suff) so, I decided to do it... So I was calling Ms. Juliet and whatnot. She told me that she can drop me off but wouldn't be able to give me a ride because her and her sons were going to church. When I was at "Uwajimaya", she accompanied me and within 30 minutes of getting the application, I finished it and gave it back to the manager (who happens to be Juliet's cousin) and since there was a lot of time left, Ms. Juliet invited me to hang out with them for the day. So, I went to church with them, went to eat late lunch with them and other errands.
They go to a Born Again Christian church (I don't know the name) and I got to spend time with her sons as well. (Eldest at 15/16 on Nov.; Jason and youngest 11? 12?; Teddy) and the people at their church is so nice and so welcoming that it was almost uncomfortable to see how welcoming they were but it was really nice. The church that I go to - St. Charles - is boring and no one cares for each other. Haha. So, we did church and after, we went to the South Center Mall and ate lunch. After, we went to JC Penny to help pick out some clothes for her sons and since they are young boys who don't know anything about what to wear and what matches... I decided to be a big sister and help them out pick some pants and over-shirts. Even though... Jason look HELLA older than me. They wanted safe colors and things that are so common... Like, Teddy, he wanted a red-black checkered flannel (which is similar to what I have) and I told him that it's a common color and a lot of people have that... So I looked around and I found a teal-gray-white flannel plaid-checker for Jason because it looked really cute and I thought he'd like it and apparently, he wanted it right away the minute I asked him. And then knowing Teddy, being the youngest and wanting to be like his brother, I tried to find another one and by luck, I found a teal-brown-white checkered-flannel and I asked him what he thought about this color since it's better than red-black checker flannel and the black-white checkered flannel and when I showed him the teal-brown-white checkered flannel, he loved it!
Am I good? Or am I good? :D
Then when we were leaving JC Penny, Ms. Juliet thanked me for convincing Teddy to not get the red-black flannel because if she was the one who said "no" he wouldn't listen to her. So she really thanked me in helping her sons with the clothes picking and of course, I was being modest but inside of me was like, "I know... I'm pretty amazing." (laughs) I really think I can have these boys as my brothers... I mean, I've always wanted a brother and I've always wanted to dress a brother up so... Why not these boys?! Hmmmmmmm.
After, we went to Target to buy them some school supplies then after that, Ms. Juliet dropped me home. Blue Fox called me too because he couldn't wait until I got home but I had to call him back once I did because I was in the car with them.
When we were on the freeway, on our way back to my place, she asked me out of the blue, "...You wanna go to the beach?!" LOL, and it was like... 7:15pm. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Hilarious! But I told her that next time we meet, we can. So funny~
But you know what? Ms. Juliet was saying that we'll be able to hang out again when she has time off and whatnot so I'm pretty excited about that. She's really cool, outgoing and random and she's hella funny too... I absolutely adore her sons as well. So, I'm excited to see them again. :)
Jason said, "I just realized your adventure with us... We just met today but we're doing so much with each other."
They're just so chill, it didn't even feel like I've just met them today. It feels like I've known them for some time. Hahahaha... GAH, I can't wait to see them again.
Feeling Good,
Otter
